vehicles were parked inside with no access for the
public.

struggling to get out of this ditch.

6x6 truck Star 266. One of the best trucks in it's class built in
1970's and 80's. The name is taken from the town where those
trucks were built – Starachowice.

the whole area was sprayed with water sometimes the dust become
really aggravating.

I've
made very interesting and useful contact with members of the Land
Forces Museum.
They have got another GAZ 69 Orel-1 – exactly like
mine.

Home
of this event – Borne Sulinowo is a town built by the
Germans in the late 1930's. It was the centre for a huge military
training ground.
After WW2 the whole area was taken by the
Russians and the town disappeared from the maps for the next 50
years. At it's hight there were 18.000 Russian troops stationed
there. Here are photographs of some of the town and the area
today.
Miasteczko
Borne Sulinowo zostało zbudowane przez Niemców tuż
przed II Wojną Światową jako centrum ogromnego
poligonu wojskowego. Po wojnie tereny te zostały zajęte
przez Rosjan. Na następne 50 lat miasto zniknęło z
map Polski.
